United States allows patent technology green Jump the queue for another year

The United States Patent And Trademark Office (USPTO) has extended its green technology pilot program to expedite the examination of petitions for green technology defined as those concerning patent to: quality of the environment, conservation of energy, the development of renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Typically, applications are reviewed in the order they are received by the patent office leading inventors and businesses to delay the commercialization of their program technologies.Ce allows to jump the queue without additional fees and paperwork green tech patent, and the USPTO hopes that it will reduce the average time for Green by one year technology or more.

Programme launched in December 2009 and was item to expire on 8 December this year, but the USPTO Wednesday announced an extension of the period to 31 December 2011 so far, the USPTO has received petitions patent 1595 and granted them 790 of green technology pilot program.

The programme could prove controversial, as suggested by the Chairman and founder of IPWatchdog., Gene Quinn:
