Bing Pimps a new service of Microsoft as a result of natural search top page. Google buried it

Search engines as bing and Google will be de jure the top and down their natural search results are determined by one thing and one thing only: the algorithm-knowing, all-powerful. Ensure paid results may display at the top or on the side, but they are still reported as such. But sometimes the temptation is too great and natural search, which are supposed to be sacrosanct, results are used to promote a product or service owned by the same company that operates the search engine.

Certainly, this seems to be happening on Bing now if you perform a search on the term "datamarket." Top result for Windows azure DataMarket, a product that is just a few days ago. No mistake. It sounds like a cool product .c ' is a service focused on cloud where people can download and sell data consistently.

But in terms of link juice, you have to wonder if Datamarket.com, the second result on Bing, becomes part of the first. Azure DataMarket result appears as a natural result, not a link sponsored (which Microsoft and Google for their own products but put as such, see "Riviera").

If you perform the same search for "datamarket" on Google, Datamarket.com resulted from the top of the page and the Microsoft site is nowhere is located on the first page of results, which is also handy as coincidence. It is pushed to the second page.Google and Bing to their algorithms to do their magic or is some thing else going on here?

And if you think that Google never promotes its own products, simply search for any location, such as the "Gramercy Park Hotel. The second result is a module with a map, links and Google.Google places data shows this kind of unified for many types of search results, but in this case, the most prominent link goes to a page in Google sites.
