While many people come with solutions that involve forcing sites use HTTPS, Zscaler security has just published a countermeasure called BlackSheep, which detects indeed when Firesheep divert your session.

Firesheep accesses your Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter and other logins by cookies - Blacksheep subverts this by tricking Firesheep with a login cookie false and alerting the user when Firesheep is detected, showing the IP address of the person use (see below) and alerts the user to close the session.

BlackSheep is currently only available solution that attempts to develop the Firesheep against himself."BlackSheep operates a large part of the code Firesheep, but twist is rather used to divert the sessions, it rather detects when a session is to be diverted and notifies the user," says BlackSheep developer Julien Sobrier.

And because BlackSheep and Firesheep use much of the same code, you cannot run both in the same session of Firefox.Mais why would you like to do this?
