Mission objective: why the objectives have never

Heard in Vegas at BlogWorld Expo:

"I have just started a blog and I am delighted to see where it would lead me."

Have you ever said something like that? When I first started, it was certainly something that I recall telling an ami.Personne really knew where the average lead of blogs - we were all very happy to evolve and see where we are finished.

There is actually a meaning in this approach: blogs was continues to evolve, and because the space was not too crowded and competitive, many bloggers have almost accidentally scanned into amazing opportunities.

The problem begins today bloggers face is see-where-it-will-lead approach does not always. There millions of blogs, the mainstream media is investing serious cash in space and some style worldwide collaboration WINS who will spend in the blogosphere has disappeared.

Good things come even when you leave your blog evolve and luck always plays a role, I met today the most successful for many bloggers are strategic on what they do.

One of the subjects I taught BlogWorld Expo this year focused on the objectives.

Knowing what you want to achieve and where you want to eventually you will be more likely to be found in the realization of these things.

Conversely, setting out on a path with no idea of what you want to achieve is your destination purely by chance. It can develop good is - or put an end to the opposite effect.

"" If you don't know where you are going, how can you expect to get there"."-Basil s. Walsh

The blogger has not established targets

I told this story to BWE last week.

A number of years, a young blogger burst on the scene in a niche that I am écrit.Ils noticed soon that almost everything that Blogger, I'd seen before: during the weeks, their blog received hundreds of comments and spoken on many other blogs.

The reason why they were so quickly that was all the positions, noticed that they have written had a pot shot at another blogger in their niche.Posts on the blog are critical, held and personal attacks on other key in the niche (including me) and, consequently, the blogger noticed very, very quickly.

The blog has increased in the coming months, largely based on this philosophy of bloggers déficient.Autres having regard to the strategy of work and new blogs arose. The deficient niche was not a particularly pleasant to take part in during a period of time.

I have always thought that it was injury - the blogger was actually a smart person and when they wanted, they had good things to dire.Mais blog always seemed to be seasoned with toxic edges of what I thought was achieved.

One day, which began just ceased to publication.Le blog blog went silent.

A few months later, the blog disappeared complètement.Toutes traces of it disappeared (although I am sure that he still lives in the Internet Archive sites).

I always wondered what happened to the blogger, until a few months ago, I found myself in a room to listen to a Webinar chat and recognized their name as one of the other participants.

I was able to get the blogger to jump on Skype with me and asked what was the arrivé.Pourquoi is that they had stopped blogging?

History told me that the person has been that they had started blogs with a very vague goal: remarquer.Après have noticed that they really knew what they wanted .c ' is that they had been noticed that they realized that their ultimate goal is to be an authoritative voice in Blogger créneau.Le wanted someone that people are turning to worms with respect.Ils wanted to be a person asked to speak and write books on the subject.

The problem was that the way in which they were initially made their blogs had their truly deleted their identified objectives tardivement.Ils burned bridges and called the deficient blogger, rather than the authority blogger.

"Without goals and plans to reach them, you're like a ship sailed with no destination" - Fitzhugh Dodson

Je n'ai pas goals.

I am very aware that many bloggers start blogging without targets and rapides.Ils take the go-see-where-it approach - duct .c ' was my approach, too - and for good things to come.

However, the reality is that the waves as they were, I objectives even when I started at the age of eight.

They were not subject key objectives certainly large-scale and long-term where I am today. rather, they were objectives on the next steps - where I would be in the coming days and weeks.

Over time, I've met some of what I have set out to YH ' I abandoned the other objectives and define new - some of them for the terme.La long key was to identify a branch head and begin to move.

You do not always have the final destination in mind, but if you can identify some next steps at work, at least you somewhere with intention.

Voice of Google and FaceTime - why carriers are losing their voice.

This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader.Line 1, position 9439.

Lately it seems like there is endless news around messaging, VoIP and video calling. Apple recently announced they'd added FaceTime support for the Mac, and had shipped 19 million FaceTime-enabled iOS devices since June.Google Voice also made headlines last week for an Moneris, but I think the bigger news associated with that downtime is how fast they've been growing. And there's been a flurry of activity around messaging and communication startup as well, such as the super innovative GroupMe releasing an Android App.

The resounding theme from all these seemingly disparate announcements is that messaging, voice, video, and chatting applications are on fire.Sure, we all use social media, but it sure hasn haven't dampened people's affinity for texting or making a call.

More revealing, all of this innovation seems to be happening at the application layer, far from the AT & Ts of the world, who are missing another wave of innovation which is happening on top of their networks. It's very evident that Google and Apple are making overtures to become your de facto voice and messaging provider, and the carriers are sitting with their pants down, struggling to plan how they stay covered.

Why the Carriers Will Become Irrelevant in Voice and Messaging

It's easy to bash carriers. I recently wrote about the technical reasons why you AT & s network is so awful which got their higher ups to contact me and criminal about what I'd written.Truth is, there are long-standing reasons behind AT & s will failures-network decisions take many years to unfold, especially since the telco monopolies are, by their very nature, slow to respond to change and innovation.

But forget the past, let's look at why the carriers are poised to become more and more irrelevant beyond being pipe providers in the future. And let's do so specifically around voice and messaging, the bread and butter that they evolved to provide services.

Imagine the future of communication on your smartphone: you're on a video call with your significant other across the world on different networks, you tap your screen, and their phone screen mimics yours as you flip through photos of your trip while continuing your call instantly.Or imagine sending out an MMS to a group, and when each of your friends open it they immediately tap into a live HD audio/video stream which you're broadcasting to everyone. No. delays, no. dialing, and no going in and out of different apps-it just works.

All of these amazing use-cases, and more, will be enabled by 4 G wireless standard. This is because 4 G is 100% IP-based, which is what the internet was founded upon. Today, voice is routed separately from data on mobile networks due to legacy "circuit-switched" architecture. With LTE, the first phase of 4 G, voice and video sessions seront packetized and sent over the network from your smartphone just like any other application layer data, which will open a range of new capabilities.

LTE Now. Voice in 2013 - Are You Kidding Me?

But there's a roadblock to realizing this vision of ubiquity.Right now the carriers can't agree on what's happening with respect to voice. In classic fashion, they are stuck in endless consortium meetings arguing about standards instead of moving forward, picking one, testing, and deploying.

Some carriers are behind a voice technology called IPMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), which is 100% IP-based, and others are clinging to VoLGA (voice over LTE via generic access), which splits mobile voice and messaging apart from the IP-based LTE network in a technique called "circuit-switched fallback".

Guess when they plan to resolve all this?2013! Per this AT & T slide from a few weeks ago.And it's easy to envision any resolution extending years past this date, which is crazy considering what's at stake for the carriers as they struggle so stay covered in voice communication.

FaceTime best foreshadowed their dwindling relevance, since video calls over WiFi bypass the carrier network entirely. And though FaceTime doesn't yet work on 3 G you can see the writing on the wall. Meanwhile Google Voice still requires you to dial out using your carrier's network, but Google's acquisition of Gizmo5 last year foretells this will go away in favor of full VoIP too. Then of course there's Skype, which now works over 3 G, bypassing the voice network of your carrier too.

The Bureaucracy Behind Why The Carriers are Missing Out

Carriers are in the process of transitioning from a telco model, which is closed, to the internet model, which is open.In the old days it was deemed acceptable for them to stew over standard for multiyear periods, but innovation on the internet doesn't work this way.

Recently at CTIA, Verizon declined to discuss the VoLTE situation because they simply don't have anything cohesive to communicate. This is embarrassing, considering their LTE network is supposed to be ready by the end of the year. What this means is that voice will be routed over their old network for years to come-fabulous.

This is absurd, and is symbolic of how consortia and standards bodies work in telecom-anyone who has ever sold to or interacted with a carrier understands the glacial pace at which they move. What the carriers really need to do is get out of bed and resolve how seront packetized voice, then move forward and deploy it. it's simply embarrassing that they can't do this, but it's not surprising, since they still receive so much revenue from voice plans.

The Internet Wins Again - Go Back to Sleep Carriers

The future in mobile communication is being written at the application layer-both by innovative giants like Apple and Google, and smaller startups such as GroupMe and Twilio-not at the infrastructure layer by the AT & Ts and Verizons of the world. The carriers had a chance to provide a better voice and messaging experience with 4 G, and to charge a toll for that experience, but they are missing that window.

Apple and Google are closing it fast.Back in June, when iPhone 4 was released, people wondered why Apple made FaceTime an open standard. Here is one important reason why: A closed standard may have caused an overly fragmented market for video-calling, which would benefit the carriers everyone. This is likely, at least in part, why Steve Jobs decided to open up FaceTime, as any open standard's success in video telephony limits the power of the carriers.

The funny thing is, they seem to be des it all up without Steve's help. There is simply no doubt that the future of voice and messaging is with companies innovating at the application layer, and my guess is there is going to be a ton of investment activity and M & A in this space as new realtime communication tools are developed over the next few years.

Lars Rasmussen, father of Google Maps and Google Wave, heads of Facebook

««Home» Rasmussen» Lars Rasmussen, father of Google Maps and Google Wave, leads to Facebook

When Google updated their faith in the wave of an ambitious project once again last year, they knew that it was a gamble. But it was the team behind the project. A team led by Lars Rasmussen, engineer better known as the co-creator of the enormous success of Google Maps. Now, he leaves the company .and from what we hear, it leads to Facebook.

Rasmussen has confirmed his departure on his Facebook.Hier page was the last day of work at Google.Il gives no indication where he will then make, except that it would be "a very big ocean closer" (he lived in Australia, where the Wave team based) .but the fact it has been all this info on Facebook is révélateur.De which we have heard, he will join Facebook.

Facebook or Google is still our request for comment.

This is an immense loss for Google and a huge gain in Facebook.Mais it is hardly surprising that Rasmussen leaving Google as the search giant killed his ambitious project just Wave a year after it first was unveiled.

Defection of Rasmussen is the latest in a series of movements from Google to Facebook pre - IPO .but its move is probably a bigger chromium OS Matthew Papakipos being the same jump in June.

We are very interested to hear what he is working on network social.Aucun word yet on brother Jens, also contributed to co-create maps and wave will join it.

Facebook update:

Political, we have no comment on the potential until they begin to employees.

In other words, when he gets back from vacation between jobs, they confirm.

Google testing Out A more sexy top Nav Bar [photos]

Google has never been known for their feats of design. But over the years, it is undeniable that they have made significantly better even google.com with logo, button and even improvements in search box. It seems that basic page top nav bar can receive a new coat of paint as well.

As you can see from the images below, Google currently tests a Newfoundland nav bar that replaces the standard blue underlined links with a lot better looking, but subtle toolbar.Your place in the navigation is now not only indicated by the darkening and bold text, but also by a coloured at the top of the position as vous.Par example images, band you can see the blue at the top of the box "Web" bar, which indicates that you are in a search on the web.

On the other side of the right, you will notice a nice button "Connect" big (with a subtle top yellow bar) and a new settings icon from that side.

It is not a huge change, but it is a beautiful allure.Google confirmed that they test but only say the typical:

At one point, we are running 50-200.Vous research experiments learn more about the experiences of research on our blog: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2006/04/this-is-test-this-is-only-test.html

I suspect that this experience is one that will see the light of day on google.com sometime in the future.

A large around using PayPal merchant outlets is the ability to offer treats it as an incentive to buyers drive to a store or restaurant. Whether resembling General day-to-day transactions or just ordinary coupons, there is no doubt that processes help drive online sales for offline.

President of PayPal Scott Thompson says TechCrunch (see video below) that finally the local feature will be "Ubiquity," which means that you can access these lists of merchants and pay with PayPal, where you are in the world.Local is one of the key elements of the future strategy of PayPal, says Thompson.Il believes that a world becoming more connected, eventually all local merchants accept PayPal as a payment for purchases in the store option.

For PayPal, local payments certainly makes sense. Online sales outside connection is a large part of the local trade and if PayPal can become a mechanism for payments in the local market, it could pay off the coast of revenue for the company.

A competitor to note in the local space of payments is Google Checkout. While Google CheckOut is not a broad scope such as PayPal, Google Checkout has an ACE in the hole when it comes to Google sites.Google sites allows local claim and edit a page, post real-time business updates (e.g., "happy hour tonight"), telephones, create a custom and same QR code offer coupons. Google indexes and highlights these pages in the results of research, most recently launched a placement more integrated top sites for the search on Google.

Google could easily turn on a transaction (for example, a daily dose) for these merchants and use Google
Extraction as a payment mechanism. The same experience may extend to mobile phones.

Advantage that Google has about PayPal is that, with seats, these relationships with local merchants are already integrated business search giants. At the last count a few months ago, Google had places pages in place for the business of 4 million, but I am sure that this number is higher o.d. ' other PayPal will be to forge new relationships with these companies local to bring in their payments platform. Not only do they have find businesses, but teach them to use their mobile applications as a mechanism for payment PayPal.Mise across local PayPal feature will be a huge effort for the company, that is why PayPal is testing the feature off in a market in San Francisco.

This why it makes sense to PayPal to form partnerships on his local.Google effort is an unlikely partner, given that the company already has its own paiements.Lieux Facebook platform could be a potential partner (PayPal is already a partner of micropayments for virtual network currency social platform credits) .Facebook is supposedly to turn on a feature site transaction and PayPal could be a way to deal with these General paiements.Et is supposedly to be brokerage agreement payments with PayPal as well.

While Google Checkout still does not have the kind of number of users that PayPal in the field of payments, Google has therefore in terms of locaux.locaux war chest much more at affordable, the battle between the two much more interesting only obtained payment platform.

Now same Fancast.com is blocked on Google TV

Sorry, folks. A person clearly could not keep their mouth closed and let slip Fancast.com was Google TV backdoor to Hulu. The majority of the content has more streams for Google TV units as he did last week. NBC, ABC, Fox - it is all blocked. Content Viacom's still works, but that is too provide whereas the partnership between Google and the media conglomerate.

This becomes a little frustrating.Like a fancy speed boat purchase, only to discover when you get home local wildlife nuts convinced the authorities to impose strict limits of vitesse.Ce is no fun, even if it registers an endangered species and looks like the restrictions will be lifted soon.

Lars Rasmussen, father of Google Maps and Google Wave, heads to Facebook

When Google updated their faith in the wave, an ambitious project again last year, they knew that it was a gamble. But much of this was the team behind the project. A team led by Lars Rasmussen, engineer better known as the co-creator of the enormous success of Google Maps. And now, he left the company. And from what we hear, it leads to Facebook.

Rasmussen has confirmed his departure on his Facebook page. Yesterday was the last day of work at Google. It gives no indication where he will be heading next, except that it would be "a very great ocean closer" (he lived in Australia, where the Wave team was based). But the fact that he has put all this info on Facebook is révélateur.De what heard us, he will join Facebook.

Facebook or Google is still our request for comment.

This is an immense loss for Google and a huge gain in Facebook.Mais it is hardly surprising that Rasmussen leaving Google as the search giant killed his ambitious project Wave just one year after it was first unveiled.

Defection of Rasmussen is the latest in a series of moves from Google to Facebook pre - IPO .but its move is probably a bigger since chrome OS Matthew Papakipos is the same jump in June.

We are very interested to hear what he worked on network social.Aucun word yet on brother Jens, also contributed to co-create maps and waves, will join him there.

Facebook update:

Policy, we no comment on potential until they begin employees.

In other words, when he gets back from vacation between jobs, they confirm.

A brand-new interface for AdSense

If you’re an online publisher running a website that relies on ad revenues—whether it’s a blog or an entertainment website—it can sometimes be complex to get started and to find new ways to make more money from your ads.

As I’ve previously written, we’re committed to helping online publishers—large and small—“find the advertising gold hidden within their sites,” so they can fund their websites and online content. At the core of these efforts—as it has been for more than seven years—is AdSense, which now has more than 2 million publishers in more than 200 countries who use it to fund great online businesses.

Over the last few years, we’ve invested significantly in improving AdSense so that it provides the best solution to help all publishers make the most money possible from online advertising. We’ve added a range of new ad formats (including video and rich media), improved our publisher filters, enabled better targeting that drives higher returns (like remarketing and above-the-fold targeting) and introduced increased competition for publishers’ ad space by bringing in additional advertisers and certified ad networks.

To continue helping our publishers, today we’re excited to be rolling out a completely new AdSense interface to all of our AdSense publishers, globally, in more than 30 languages and in each of the 200+ countries where AdSense is available. The AdSense interface is how publishers set up, manage, optimize and see reports on the ads on their sites.

With this new interface, AdSense is even easier to use, and we’re also providing publishers with all the tools they need to manage and increase their advertising revenue. We used lots of direct feedback from our publishers to make this overhaul. If you’re an online publisher, it helps you in three main ways:

* More insights. We’ve built in simple, graphical reporting and more options for you to easily slice and dice your data, so you can see at a glance what ads are working and which are not, and adjust your strategies accordingly.
* More control. We’ve made our ad controls richer and simpler to use, so you can better control which ads and advertisers you want to appear on your sites.
* More efficiency. It’s now much easier to quickly see earnings and payment information, to run reports, to find relevant features and help, and to make account changes. Our engineers have spent countless hours making sure that the interface is stable and blazing fast. We’ve also spent many hours in our usability labs with publishers, focused on making the interface easy to learn and use for all types of publishers.

Since we started trialling this new interface, many of our early testers have commented on the power of the reporting tools. They’ve been able to quickly analyze data and identify new trends that help them maximize their online ad revenues through AdSense.

The new interface is just the latest milestone in our efforts to help you make more money from all your online content. We look forward to hearing from as many publishers as possible, to learn what you like about this interface and where we can continue to improve.

Voice Search in underrepresented languages

Posted: 09 Nov 2010 03:40 PM PST
(Cross-posted from the Google Research Blog)

Welkom*!

Today we’re introducing Voice Search support for Zulu and Afrikaans, as well as South African-accented English. The addition of Zulu in particular represents our first effort in building Voice Search for underrepresented languages.

We define underrepresented languages as those which, while spoken by millions, have little presence in electronic and physical media, e.g., webpages, newspapers and magazines. Underrepresented languages have also often received little attention from the speech research community. Their phonetics, grammar, acoustics, etc., haven’t been extensively studied, making the development of ASR (automatic speech recognition) voice search systems challenging.

We believe that the speech research community needs to start working on many of these underrepresented languages to advance progress and build speech recognition, translation and other Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies. The development of NLP technologies in these languages is critical for enabling information access for everybody. Indeed, these technologies have the potential to break language barriers.

We also think it’s important that researchers in these countries take a leading role in advancing the state of the art in their own languages. To this end, we’ve collaborated with the Multilingual Speech Technology group at South Africa’s North-West University led by Prof. Ettiene Barnard (also of the Meraka Research Institute), an authority in speech technology for South African languages. Our development effort was spearheaded by Charl van Heerden, a South African intern and a student of Prof. Barnard. With the help of Prof. Barnard’s team, we collected acoustic data in the three languages, developed lexicons and grammars, and Charl and others used those to develop the three Voice Search systems. A team of language specialists traveled to several cities collecting audio samples from hundreds of speakers in multiple acoustic conditions such as street noise, background speech, etc. Speakers were asked to read typical search queries into an Android app specifically designed for audio data collection.

For Zulu, we faced the additional challenge of few text sources on the web. We often analyze the search queries from local versions of Google to build our lexicons and language models. However, for Zulu there weren’t enough queries to build a useful language model. Furthermore, since it has few online data sources, native speakers have learned to use a mix of Zulu and English when searching for information on the web. So for our Zulu Voice Search product, we had to build a truly hybrid recognizer, allowing free mixture of both languages. Our phonetic inventory covers both English and Zulu and our grammars allow natural switching from Zulu to English, emulating speaker behavior.

This is our first release of Voice Search in a native African language, and we hope that it won’t be the last. We’ll continue to work on technology for languages that have until now received little attention from the speech recognition community.

Salani kahle!**

Bing Pimps a new service of Microsoft as a result of natural search top page. Google buried it

Search engines as bing and Google will be de jure the top and down their natural search results are determined by one thing and one thing only: the algorithm-knowing, all-powerful. Ensure paid results may display at the top or on the side, but they are still reported as such. But sometimes the temptation is too great and natural search, which are supposed to be sacrosanct, results are used to promote a product or service owned by the same company that operates the search engine.

Certainly, this seems to be happening on Bing now if you perform a search on the term "datamarket." Top result for Windows azure DataMarket, a product that is just a few days ago. No mistake. It sounds like a cool product .c ' is a service focused on cloud where people can download and sell data consistently.

But in terms of link juice, you have to wonder if Datamarket.com, the second result on Bing, becomes part of the first. Azure DataMarket result appears as a natural result, not a link sponsored (which Microsoft and Google for their own products but put as such, see "Riviera").

If you perform the same search for "datamarket" on Google, Datamarket.com resulted from the top of the page and the Microsoft site is nowhere is located on the first page of results, which is also handy as coincidence. It is pushed to the second page.Google and Bing to their algorithms to do their magic or is some thing else going on here?

And if you think that Google never promotes its own products, simply search for any location, such as the "Gramercy Park Hotel. The second result is a module with a map, links and Google.Google places data shows this kind of unified for many types of search results, but in this case, the most prominent link goes to a page in Google sites.

Mission objective: why goals matter ever

Heard in Vegas at BlogWorld Expo:

"I have just started a blog and I am delighted to see where it would lead me."

Have you ever said something like that? When I first started, it was certainly something that I recall telling an ami.Personne really knew where the blogging medium lead - we were all very happy to let it evolve and see where we've finished.

There was actually a meaning in this approach: blogs was continues to evolve, and because the space was not too crowded and competitive, many bloggers have almost accidentally scanned into amazing opportunities.

The problem begins today bloggers face is see-where-it-will-lead approach does not work always. There are millions of blogs, the mainstream media is investing serious cash in space, and some style all the collaboration WINS world that go on in the blogosphere has disappeared.

That good things come even when you leave your blog evolve and luck always plays a role, many bloggers the most successful I meet today are strategic on what they do.

One of the subjects I taught BlogWorld Expo this year focused on the objectives.

Knowing what you want to achieve and where you want to eventually you will be more likely to find itself in the realization of these things.

Conversely, exhibitor on a path with no idea of what you want to achieve is your destination purely by chance. It could bring good is - or put an end to the contrary.

The blogger who has not established targets

I told this story to BWE last week.

A number of years, a young blogger burst on the scene in a niche, in that I am écrit.Ils noticed faster than almost any what Blogger I'd seen before: in the weeks, their blog received hundreds of comments and spoken on many other blogs.

The reason for which they have been noticed so quickly was that almost every position, that they have written had a pot-shot to another blogger in their niche.Posts on the blog are critical, rants and personal attacks on others key in the niche (including me) .and, as a result, the blogger noticed very, very quickly.

The blog has increased in the coming months, largely based on this philosophy déficient.Autres bloggers having regard to the strategy of work and the deficient new blogs arose. The niche was not a particularly pleasant to take part in during a period of time there.

I have always thought that it was injury - the blogger was actually a smart person and when they wanted, they had good things to dire.Mais blog seemed always to be seasoned with toxic edges of what I thought that could have been achieved.

One day, which began just ceased to publication.Le blog blog went silent.

A few months later, the blog disappeared complètement.Toutes traces of it disappeared (although I am sure that he still lives in these sites the Internet Archive).

I always wondered what happened to the blogger, until a few months ago, I found myself in a chat room to listen to a webinar and recognized their name as one of the other participants.

I was able to get the blogger to jump on Skype with me and asked what was arrivé.Pourquoi is that they had stopped blogging?

History told me that the person has been that they had started blogs with a very vague goal: to remarquer.Après have noticed that they really knew what they wanted .c ' is only after they had been noticed that they realized that their ultimate goal is to be an authoritative voice in créneau.Le blogger wanted to be a person that people are turning worms with respect.Ils wanted to be someone who would ask to speak and write books on the subject.

The problem was that the way in which they were made at the outset on their blogs had their truly removed their identified goals tardivement.Ils burned bridges and known as the deficient blogger, rather than the authority blogger.

"Without goals and plans to reach them, you're like a ship set sail with no destination"-Fitzhugh Dodson

I have goals step.

I am very aware that many bloggers start blogging without hard targets and rapides.Ils take the go-see-where-it approach - duct .c ' was my approach, too - and good things come from it.

However, the reality is that the waves as they were, I objectives even when I started at the age of eight.

They were not certainly long-term and large-scale objectives major subject where I am today. rather, they were the goals on the next steps - where I would be in the coming days and weeks.

In time, I've reached some of what I have set out to YH ' I abandoned the other objectives and define new - some of them for the long key terme.La was to identify a direction to the head and begin to move.

You should not always the final destination in mind, but if you can identify some next steps to work, at least you'll be somewhere with intention.

"Progress have little to do with the speed, but much to do with the direction-" unknown

You can see which blogs will guide you you goals for your blogs?

With their SIM carrier-PSP, Apple do what Google anchor off?

At the beginning of this year, I was very excited. You will see the launch of Google for one of Nexus, event they clearly one thing: they went directly after the carrier dominant lock plug-in model that all prisoners in the U.S. in the years captivity. Then Google anchor. And now things get as bad as they have ever been. At least that Apple had the cojones to do what Google would not, that is.

To be clear, today Stacey Higginbotham of GigaOM report is not on the United States. It notes that Apple is working on the side of the card manufacturer SIM Gemalto to make an integrated hardware SIM card which can work with several carriers throughout Europe .essentiellement, this would jump from carrier to carrier like a better deal along or travelling without having to Exchange SIM cards customers.

The thing is, in many European countries, it is not already almost the problem is with the United States, because the market is much more concurrentiel.Mais here is the key to all this Higginbotham.

Then clients will then be able to choose their carrier to purchase on the website of Apple or the retail store or buy the phone and lift the handset and executed by a download to the Bank of APP as opposed to visit a store or by calling the carrier carrier.

Sounds familiar?

This is almost exactly what Google's plan was to sell the Nexus origin. They have created an online store where customers could choose their phone, their carrier and plan. Of course, launch, Google had a Nexus with T-Mobile onboard. But they noted that soon other carriers such as sprint and Verizon would be on board as well. That has never happened.

It is true that a nexus did not sell well in this way. But the reality is that it was necessary to carriers.Google's original plan was to sell a Nexus for $99, unlocked, on their website, we have entendu.Je repeat that: $99.Unlocked. But when they run this idea by carriers (which they had to work with because they control the networks, they need, remember) told them to go to hell.

And so what we have achieved a Nexus one you could either buy unlocked for hundreds of dollars - which essentially no one has. Or a carrier subsidized.Just like the good old days.

When a nexus will sell on their site, other partners reached carrier on the completely a Nexus (probably patting themselves on the back as they have done) .and Google stopped selling the idea to pecifies consommateurs.En of any blow to the face of Google.

They should have blocked their rifles, sold a Nexus that they voulaient.Et carriers screw themselves. Of course, they had that Google had the relationship relaxes with the carriers they now enjoy. This bet could have risked the success of Android. And Google was not willing to go.It was a manoeuvre Intelligent Enterprise, but it sucks for us consumers.

Enter Apple.

The company has demonstrated repeatedly and repeatedly that they don't which they piss to push their own programme.Ce program includes create the best possible experience for consumers.A large part of that sector of cellular telephony could be allowing customers to buy a phone and select carriers based on who has the best offers and options.

Obviously, not was the case with Apple at the United States as they have been exclusively linked to a carrier AT & T.But it is about to change. And this time spent AT & t was not a total quantity of déchets.Ils could not build themselves literally nothing in a force to be effective with the mobile space. The iPhone is now far more important source of revenue Apple. And customers of all carriers require the phone come to their network.

Apple is now able to make the main problem with the United States geste.Mais is that carriers run on networks powered by different technologies.Ce is not the case in Europe, so it makes sense to start it with carrier-murder SIM, while transitions U.S. LTE technology much more universal are to come.

And let's not forget a huge part of this équation.Apple, unlike Google, runs their own détail.Centaines of eux.Dans stores world. can we doubt that the iPhone would still be a massive success if it was only sold in their stores and Web site? if they do, they are stupid.

If Apple is absolutely at home that Google could not step ne.La question, they would really willing to possibly alienate their carrier by screwing them partners most? again once the iPhone is the biggest company of Apple, but it is largely through grants that the carriers, the payer.Apple risk that?

It seems that we can find shortly.
